Provided by a Chartered, State Registered Physiotherapist trained by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapist’s in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE).

Assessments can be carried out on non-symptomatic (as a means to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) related to their work) or symptomatic users in order to provide remedial advice and recommendations.

A Clinical DSE Assessment utilises a Physiotherapist’s skills and experience regarding movement and it’s dysfunction to enable the provision of reasonable and practicable remedial advice and recommendations, in conjunction with current HSE legislation.

A clinical examination of the user’s MSD may be required during the assessment process. Following assessment, reports are compiled. These vary in length and detail, with full length reports including quotes for equipment recommendations.

Reviews/follow ups can be requested after:  major software changes  major equipment changes  major furniture changes  substantial increase in time using DSE  substantial change to other tasks  workstation relocation  modified work environment i.e. lighting
And throughout a user’s pregnancy

Workshops can be provided to small group of users on a variety of topics, such as: - Chair adjustment – this is especially useful for hot-deskers - DSE advice for home-workers - Movement and vision rest breaks and what to do during them
